Q Ship

12.10.25

The Q-Ship is terrifying to Thanos’s enemies for many reasons. To scientists on Earth, one of those reasons is how it works. The Q-Ship travels by manipulating exotic material to create a negative energy density field, changing the geometry of the space around the ship. Space is compacted in front of the ship and stretched behind it, leaving the ship itself in an untouched bubble, pushed along by the changes around it. This type of drive was theorized on Earth thirty years ago, but the list of problems with actualizing it is comically long. Thanos using it means that he has access to technology beyond human understanding.

I was honoured to illustate this ship as part of the Marvel Studios Cross-Sections book.
