When humans first discover that they can use the energy of the Multiverse to make magic, the sorcerer Agamotto identifies three locations around the globe where this energy is the strongest. He and the members of the group he creates, the Masters of the Mystic Arts, build sanctums at these locations—what will one day become the cities of London, Hong Kong, and New York—to generate a magical shield around the Earth. The Masters of the Mystic Arts, powerful magical practitioners, are tasked with guarding the sanctums and maintaining the shield. Today, the New York Sanctum is home to Doctor Stephen Strange, former neurosurgeon and current mystical Super Hero.

I was honoured to be asked to illustrate the New York Sanctum, full of hidden details a lot of work and planning went into this project and very happy to now see it in a book.
